Electrical Safety
Ensuring all electrical installations in your home are safe and compliant.
Electrical safety in your rented home is important for keeping you and your household safe. As your landlord, we are responsible for making sure the electrical installations and any fixed electrical equipment we provide are safe and properly maintained. This includes carrying out regular safety inspections and completing any necessary repairs. You also have an important role to play by using electrics safely and reporting any concerns as soon as possible. This page explains what we do to keep your rented home electrically safe and how you can help.

What do we do?
Five-yearly EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Reports).
Ensure communal systems remain safe.
Carry out remedial work identified in inspections

What can you do to help?
Report any electrical issues (sparks, burning smells, tripped circuits).
Avoid DIY electrical work.
Register your appliances for recall alerts.
Keeping safe – remember not to overload sockets and be sure to unplug unused appliances.
